Camping

Camping is available at East River and Elmore parks.

East River Park

Located just below the dam in the Neosho and the city's most popular fishing spot. There are 40 camping spots and one shelter house in this park. All camping spots have electricity (30-amp) and water. Click here for a map of the park.

Elmore Park

Located at a scenic bend in the Neosho river in the city's NE corner, this park offers a quiet camping experience. There are 26 camping spots on the West bank of the Neosho River. There is electricity (50-amp) at every spot and water at most. Many of the spots are nicely shaded. Click here for a map of the park.

Fees

Camping fees are $20 per night for camping trailers, motor homes, etc., and $10 per night for tents.  Reservations may be made 1 week prior to your stay but all reservations must be paid in full in advance of the stay.  Reservations may be made by calling the City Office at 620-236-7541.  If the City Office is notified of a cancellation 10 days prior to reservation date the reservation fees will be refunded.

Dump Stations

There are  three  dump stations located in the City. The first is at the intersection of 4000 Road and N. 10th St. on the North side of 4000 Road. The second is at Elmore Park. The  third is located on the lot of Chetopa R. V. Center, located at 529 N. 11st St. and is only available during their business hours. Their phone number is 620-236-7928.
